Len Pereksles
Len is a Legend in the South African Meat Industry having dedicated 52+ years to making Premium Quality Smallgoods. Len is the custodian of our prized family recipes, that have been handed down through the generations. Affectionally known as Oupa PX, you can still find him living in Estcourt , KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa , on the banks of the Bushmans River, and STILL making boerewors.
Most of the Pereksles Family are local to the Estcourt area, and many have worked for the famous Eskort Bacon Co-Op, Len himself having worked as Factory Manager for 30+ years.
Oupa PX is a real character who loves practical jokes and playing the guitar next to the fire while entertaining friends and family. He is as humble, honest, and compassionate a man as you will ever meet and unbending in his morals and beliefs. They only ever made One and then broke the mould.
One could say that making delicious sausages is a family tradition !

It is a privilege to have the advantage of being personally trained by Oupa PX and I cannot thank him enough for his persistence and patience in teaching me the secret family recipes until I succeeded in meeting his seal of approval.
I now carry on the family Tradition in Australia making Boerewors in Melbourne, in a new purpose built facility, located on our Rural property nestled in the picturesque Dandenong Ranges. Truly Home Made!
